We are a duo of professional storytellers and entertainers based in the North East of England.

Jez Hunt is a well known local artist and craftsman with a great deal of experience in entertainment, acting as compere at the Newcastle Green Festival and a large number of other local events. He also paints, draws and is a skilled leather worker, who has experience doing make-up and special effects for several films and for world renowned photographer Wang Qing Song.

David Silk is a historian and an expert on the folklore and early literature of Britain and Ireland, with a keen interest in many other cultures and their traditions. He has experience of working in schools and museums with a wide

Tall Tales and Short Stories have worked with in schools, museums and various other venues, including several successful storytelling evenings in Morden Tower in Newcastle. We've also done storytelling for several larger projects with out of school groups including a residential visit to Lindisfarne.
